IDF reports 689 soldiers killed and 4,303 wounded since October 7

Since Oct. 7, 689 IDF soldiers have been killed, and 4,303 wounded, the IDF reported Saturday in its latest summary of casualty data from the war.

Since soldiers entered Gaza on October 27, 329 soldiers have been killed and 2,199 wounded.

Of the deaths, 51 were due to operational accidents, according to data from June.

In addition, 18 have been due to other types of accidents, five due to firing anomalies and 28 due to friendly fire until August.

Details about the soldiers who have been injured

Since the beginning of the war, 2,586 have been lightly wounded, 1,077 moderately wounded and 640 seriously wounded. These numbers do not include those who were not hospitalized.

Of those injured, 528 were due to accidents with weapons, fire, hazardous materials or arson, 70 due to friendly fire, 40 due to shooting errors, 60 due to road accidents and 167 due to falls or other workplace accidents.

Ynet reported on Sunday that 10,000 soldiers have been killed or wounded since IDF troops entered Gaza and every month, approximately 10,000 soldiers are physically or psychologically distressed, citing Defense Ministry data.

The Jerusalem Post was unable to see the Defense Ministry data.

The IDF has not reported on those who have been hospitalized due to psychological distress.
