Idex with advanced technology in defense sector

ABU DHABI: IDEX and NevaDEX, the largest exhibition in the defense, security and technology sectors, started today at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center.

This time the new generation startups and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have the upper hand in the biggest exhibition in history. The 5-day fair will showcase innovative concepts, products and services in the defense and naval sectors.

The fair offers an unparalleled opportunity to clients in this field. World-class defense technology under one roof will be showcased at the exhibition, which will include warplanes, warships, drones, state-of-the-art equipment, armored vehicles, guns, simulators and remote weapon stations.

Equipment and services that can be used on sea, land and air will enrich the fair. All the items used for communication and other military purposes will be present in the fair. 1350 companies from different countries are participating. Double increase from last year. 1.3 lakh visitors from 65 countries are expected. There is also an international defense conference in connection with this.

The number of exhibitors has increased by 25% over the previous year. The exhibition is under the patronage of President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

1800 experts from the countries of the world participated in the conference held yesterday before the exhibition. Defense contracts worth crores are also expected to be signed in connection with the conference.

In the 2021 show, contracts worth 2100 crores were signed.

Saeed Al Mansoori, Chief Executive, Capital Events, ADNEC Group, said that the warships of India, Pakistan, China, Bahrain, UK, Italy and UAE were also lined up at the exhibition at ADNEC Marina Hall.
