The new season of ‘The Masked Singer’ has started and the first five characters have made their appearance. Despite all the spectacular performances, we already had to say goodbye to two characters in the first episode: the Raccoon and the Wolf. But which celebrities hid in the suits?

“We have a Countess of the Royal Houses”

The Raccoon is the first character to send the audience home. Immediately upon his arrival on stage, the panelists were impressed by his suit. “What a nice suit. A very tall man,” Carlo Boszhard immediately noticed. It is immediately clear to Loretta Schrijver who is in the suit, because she recognizes her former colleague out of thousands. “This is Jan de Hoop’s walk,” she says.

After the panel unanimously agrees that Jan is in the suit, he reveals his identity not much later. He hesitated for a long time to participate, but decided to give it a try and ended up having a lot of fun. “I can’t sing or dance. (…) Very nice, but I’m glad it’s over,” he confesses. “It’s good, because next time there will be dance moves.”

It was no surprise to Jan that Loretta immediately recognized him. “We have known each other for 45 years. She is my sweet TV sister. So I love her. I predicted. She will hear that within five seconds, but I think she was even faster.”

Not much later it is time for the second revelation and the Wolf is forced to leave the battle scene. When she showed up, a number of panel members were quite sure that Nikkie Plessen would be hidden in the suit, but during her performance they came up with other names. Monica thought she knew this celebrity personally, but she could not think of her name. “Who is this? I’m not getting well,” she said in frustration.

After her performance, Monica thought she was sure that model Romee Strijd would be in the Wolf’s suit, but this turned out to be none other than Countess Eloise of Orange. “I just recognized your voice. I just knew I would know you. So annoying if you don’t know,” Monica sighs. None of the panel members could guess her identity, but her participation gave the program a royal touch. “We have a Countess of the Royal Houses.”

Eloise especially enjoyed seeing all the surprised faces and was very impressed with her suit. “I really love this suit,” she said with a smile on her face.

The Masked Singer see you every Friday at 8 p.m. on RTL 4.

Identity Revealed: The Masked Singer Returns with a Bang!

Well, ladies and gentlemen, grab your popcorn and get ready for the spectacle because ‘The Masked Singer’ is back, and it’s wilder than a five-legged dog riding a unicycle! The season kicked off with a high-energy debut, introducing us to five fabulous characters that had the audience and panelists buzzing like bees at a honey convention. But alas, two fearless performers—the Raccoon and the Wolf—were sent packing before they could even get in their final dance moves! Now, let’s dive into who was hiding beneath those outrageous disguises!

“We have a Countess of the Royal Houses!”

First up on the chopping block was the Raccoon. The moment this critter sashayed onto the stage, it was clear that the audience was in for a treat—mostly because his suit looked like it cost more than my last holiday! Carlo Boszhard, bless his soul, immediately pointed out the impressive ensemble, saying, “What a nice suit. A very tall man.” You know it’s a good night when people are more concerned about the fashion than the actual singing! But wait, folks! Loretta Schrijver saw right through the disguise like a magician with a revealing trick. “This is Jan de Hoop’s walk,” she declared confidently.

And guess what? She was spot on! Jan de Hoop, in his humble confession, shared how hesitatingly he joined the show. “I can’t sing or dance… But you know what? I had a blast!” Well, Jan, if you can entertain us while having zero rhythm, you’ve got a job in comedy waiting for you! He did mention, “It’s good, because next time there will be dance moves,” which has probably terrified every dance instructor in the country.

As Jan basked in the glow of his reveal, he couldn’t help but gush over Loretta, “We have known each other for 45 years. She is my sweet TV sister. So I love her.” Cue the heartwarming music because we have a fairytale friendship unfolding on stage!

Now, let’s shimmy over to the second reveal: the Wolf. The suspense was thicker than a bowl of oatmeal as panelists threw around names like a game of celebrity bingo. Initially, many suspected the glamorous Nikkie Plessen was behind the howling, but as the performance wore on, confusion reigned supreme! “Who is this? I’m not getting well,” exclaimed Monica, throwing her hands up in frustration.

But when the Wolf finally revealed her true identity, a collective gasp echoed through the audience. It was none other than Countess Eloise of Orange! I mean, come on, forget a reality show; we’ve got royalty in the house! “I just recognized your voice,” Monica admitted, looking as delighted as she was bewildered. “So annoying if you don’t know,” she sighed. Talk about a royal twirl to keep the panelists on their toes!

And let’s be real, folks. The only thing that could top a Countess in a Wolf suit is perhaps a Poodle dressed as a Prime Minister. Eloise thoroughly enjoyed the whole charade and couldn’t help but smile, saying, “I really love this suit.” Well, darling, I love the fact that a royal is gracing our screens in such a splendidly ridiculous outfit!

So strap in, folks, because The Masked Singer is on every Friday at 8 p.m. on RTL 4, and if this episode is anything to go by, the royal shenanigans and celebrity strutting will only escalate! Until next time, keep your eyes peeled and your guesses wild!

The eagerly anticipated new season of ‘The Masked Singer’ has kicked off, showcasing an array of colorful characters, each cloaked in mystery. The first episode introduced five captivating contestants, but audiences faced the surprising elimination of two: the Raccoon and the Wolf. Viewers are left buzzing with curiosity about the famous personalities hidden beneath the elaborate costumes.

“We have a Countess of the Royal Houses”

The Raccoon took center stage first, instantly captivating the audience. Panelist Carlo Boszhard couldn’t help but comment on the impressive outfit, remarking, “What a nice suit. A very tall man.” Loretta Schrijver, known for her astute observations, quickly identified the Raccoon as her former colleague, exclaiming, “This is Jan de Hoop’s walk.” Her recognition showcased the deep bond they share, making it clear that she knows him better than anyone.

As the Raccoon revealed his identity, a mix of excitement and relief filled the air. Jan confessed to having reservations about participating but ultimately decided to embrace the experience. “I can’t sing or dance. (…) Very nice, but I’m glad it’s over,” he shared candidly, indicating the challenges of performing in a mask. His lighthearted commentary hinted at the fun he had, even as he acknowledged, “It’s good, because next time there will be dance moves.” He jokingly anticipated a tougher challenge ahead.

Jan wasn’t shocked by Loretta’s swift recognition of him. “We have known each other for 45 years. She is my sweet TV sister. So I love her,” he stated affectionately, emphasizing their long-standing friendship. He added, “I predicted she would hear that within five seconds, but I think she was even faster.” Their rapport provided a lovely backdrop to the unfolding drama of the show.

Shortly after Jan’s departure, the spotlight shifted to the enigmatic Wolf, who faced a similar fate. At first, panel members tossed around the possibility of Nikkie Plessen being behind the mask. However, as the Wolf performed, their guesses morphed, leaving them scratching their heads. Monica admitted, “Who is this? I’m not getting well,” expressing her frustration in attempting to pinpoint the celebrity.

After a captivating performance, Monica artfully deduced that model Romee Strijd might be hidden in the Wolf’s costume, but to everyone’s astonishment, the true identity was revealed: Countess Eloise of Orange. “I just recognized your voice. I just knew I would know you. So annoying if you don’t know,” Monica said, visibly frustrated at the oversight. The panel’s lack of recognition added an unexpected twist, infusing the episode with a royal flair. “We have a Countess of the Royal Houses,” they marveled, acknowledging the unique twist she brought to the show.

Eloise, wearing a beaming smile, reveled in the excitement of the moment and expressed her delight in the stunning suit she donned. “I really love this suit,” she said, clearly thrilled with the extravagant presentation. Her appearance not only surprised the panel but also enriched the show’s intricate tapestry.
