A photo of the vehicle of a hit-and-run drunk driver who killed a high school student is gaining attention online. Many netizens recognized the drunk car with its unique sticker, saying, “It was a hot topic two years ago.” In some quarters, there was a movement to disclose some of the driver’s personal information and receive reports regarding it.

According to the police on the 25th, Cheonan Seobuk Police Station in South Chungcheong Province is arresting and investigating Mr. A (36) on suspicion of hitting and killing a high school student while driving at a high speed while drunk and then running away.

Mr. A is suspected of hitting and killing high school student B (17), who was crossing the crosswalk, while running once morest a traffic light at a three-way intersection in Buda-dong, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan, at around 8:40 p.m. on the 21st.

Looking at the CCTV footage at the time, Group B ran to the crosswalk where the pedestrian signal started blinking. Netizens recalled a photo of a car that became a hot topic online two years ago. On June 26, 2022, an article titled ‘Yangka (Yangachi Ka) I just met’ was posted on Efem Korea. It was a photo of the back of a car with several stickers attached.

The vehicle in the photo from two years ago and Mr. A’s vehicle have stickers with the same phrase attached to the same location. The pattern of the vehicle emblem, which can only be installed following tuning, was the same. Netizens speculated that it was the same vehicle, saying, “Did Yangka commit a hit and run while drunk two years ago?” and “Replacing the strange sticker and logo is science.”

Some new details based on the stickers of the vehicle were also revealed. YouTube channel ‘Caracula Media’ released part of Mr. A’s name and said, “The driver is active in a car club, attaches stickers with bizarre phrases to his vehicle, and shares videos of himself driving at speed in group chat rooms, etc. “He boasted.” He then asked for information regarding Mr. A.

As a result of the police investigation, it was revealed that Mr. A drank alcohol in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do, then got behind the wheel and drove regarding 20 km. Mr. A’s blood alcohol content was 0.119%, which was at the level of license revocation. Police are confirming the exact circumstances of the accident.
