2024-02-11 13:25:31

The Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC) approved the request for the drones that broke into Juan Luis Guerra’s concert.

At the event, it was possible to observe how some drones in the sky formed the acronym of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) along with the name of its candidate for mayor of Santo Domingo Este, Dío Astacio, which caused astonishment among those present.

According to the letter addressed to the company Space Drone Show and to the Mexican citizen Fernando Nolasco Villarreal, it is detailed that the authorization was to carry out the light show in the vicinity of the northeastern part of the Olympic Center in Santo Domingo with the FLYFIRE KAIKEN UAS/Drones , with series No. Al044.

The actions were allowed to be executed at a maximum height of 295 feet AGL, with an operating radius of 0.05MN.

The request was made on February 9 of this year to be carried out ”between 9:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. local time”.

The permission was shared through social networks by Karim Nader Abu Naba’a, who claims the show as “my contribution to the next mayor.” The post was later deleted.

ASTACIO REACTION

After the criticism raised by the aforementioned proselytizing message, Astacio assured that this advertisement was placed without his permission or that of his campaign team.
