Iconfactory launches collection of games (which were Twitterrific easter eggs) for iOS

Are you a fan of arcade-style games, but are you tired of having to watch endless advertisements every time you want to play a new level or start another round in the countless applications that offer games of the genre available on the App Store? If yes, the Ollie’s Arcade may be the ideal app for you.

Initially with three games in its catalog, the Iconfactory is inspired by classic video game titles and promises to bring a “retro magic” directly to your iPhone or iPad — including, being able to be downloaded even on macOS in its version originally developed for Apple tablets.

Although the app does not work on the subscription model, only one of the three games is available for free. Its regarding Ollie Soarswhich is clearly inspired by classics like Flappy Bird — with a bird protagonist who must collect rewards while dodging obstacles.

The other two games are Snake (adaptation of the popular “snake game”) and Tranquility Touchdown (space exploration game that takes the player to the surface of six different planets). You can acquire each of them with a one-time purchase of R$10 — an even modest amount, let’s face it.

According to TechCrunch, the developers’ idea was to recover the magic of consecrated titles like Asteroids, Moon Patrol, Battlezone and Simon. Ollie Soars and Tranquility Touchdown are even renovations of games released as easter eggs no Twitterrific — Inconfactory client that was discontinued following the controversial changes imposed by Elon Musk on Twitter at the time (today, X).
