For most of you, who didn’t know Apple until following 2014 or who have already activated iCloud Drive (at a glance, 99% of seasoned Apple users), the change will be transparent. The changeover with took place at the time of iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite, so we are talking regarding a time that those under 20 cannot know (or just).

For those who would have been stuck 8 years ago, here is the procedure:

On iOS or iPadOS
• Go to Settings > [votre nom].
• Touch iCloud.
• Enable iCloud Drive.
• Your files are in the Files app.

Under macOS :

• Go to Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Apple ID. If you’re using macOS Mojave or earlier, you don’t need to click Apple ID.
• Select iCloud.
• If necessary, sign in using your Apple ID.
• Select iCloud Drive.
•Your files are in the Finder under iCloud.

On iCloud.com
• Sign in to iCloud.com.
• Select Pages, Numbers, Keynote, or iCloud Drive.
• Click Upgrade to iCloud Drive.
• You can find your files on iCloud.com in iCloud Drive.

As a reminder, Apple offers 5GB (only) on iCloud, but it’s enough to synchronize your contacts and some application documents – however, you will have to subscribe to a subscription for photo/video use, for example…
