Precipitation in parts of the country, especially in the morning, had made roads and footpaths slippery. The west and north of the country were particularly affected.

The Stendal Police Inspectorate, responsible for the districts of Jerichower Land and Stendal and the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel, reported a total of seven ice accidents, six of them in the Salzwedel area. Here, too, it was left with sheet metal damage.
