On Sunday, November 10th, the ice magic in the Volksgarten starts its fifth season. Ice skating fans can enjoy the 330 meter long circuit in the open air until February 16th.

A total of 1,700 square meters are available to ice skaters, and around 100 illuminated Christmas trees along the circuit will provide a unique feeling over the next few weeks, especially in the evenings and at night. The Eiszauber is open daily.

Department head, deputy mayor Florian Kreibich: “Thanks to the excellent work of the team and the already relatively cold temperatures, we can open the ice magic earlier this year than ever before. I am particularly pleased that we are offering the people of Salzburg this popular leisure and exercise option It is particularly important to me to continue to guarantee affordable leisure activities for Salzburg residents, which is why there will be no increase in admission prices this year.

Roland Oberhauser, Head of Municipal Operations: “Our team has done a great job and made the early start of the ice cream magic possible. We are offering the people of Salzburg and our guests a longer season of ice cream magic.”

**Interview ‍with a Guest at Ice Magic in Volksgarten**

**Editor:** Welcome! You’re one of the first guests to experience the Ice Magic in Volksgarten this season. What are ⁣your thoughts‍ on the new setup with the illuminated Christmas trees and the extended skating circuit?

**Guest:** Thank you! I’m really excited about it. The 330-meter circuit ⁣looks fantastic, especially with all ‌the lights. It adds a magical atmosphere, especially at night. ‍It’s nice to see⁣ the community prioritizing these festive activities.

**Editor:** It‌ sounds like a wonderful experience! The deputy mayor mentioned keeping admission prices ⁢the‌ same as last year to ensure affordability. How important do you think this is for residents and guests alike?

**Guest:** I think it’s crucial. Affordable leisure activities allow more people to enjoy the winter ⁣season ⁢and engage⁢ with the community. Many families can’t ‌spend a lot on outings, so ⁢it’s great that they’re making this accessible.

**Editor:** That’s a valid point. Do you believe that the focus on affordability will impact the overall quality of experience? Some might argue that lower prices could limit the resources available for maintenance and aesthetics.

**Guest:** That’s an interesting perspective. While affordability is‍ important, I do hope they can balance it with quality. It will be essential for them to maintain the rinks and the surroundings to keep ⁣people coming back. What do ⁣you think—can they manage both?

**Editor:** Absolutely a discussion worth having! It⁤ leads‌ to the question: should there be a compromise between affordability and enhancing the experience? What do you, our readers, think? Is it more ⁣important to keep prices low or to invest in creating a more magical‌ skating environment?
