The Edmonton Oilers around national ice hockey player Leon Draisaitl have stopped their short losing streak and won 4:3 once morest the Florida Panthers in the North American professional league NHL.

After two bankruptcies once morest the Minnesota Wild (3:7) and the Tampa Bay Lightning (3:5), the team from Canada took the lead directly through Derek Ryan, but fell behind by 1:2 at the end of the first period.

Draisaitl meets

In the second third, Draisaitl and Ryan, with two more goals, turned things around. With his goal to make it 3:2 (31st minute), Draisaitl caught up with the previous leader Jonathan Huberdeau from the Panthers with 74 points. However, both were surpassed by Draisaitl’s strike partner Connor McDavid, who set up two goals once morest Florida and now has 75 points.

Under new coach Jay Woodcroft, the Oilers had won all of their first five games before suffering setbacks last week.
