Nice – CHAMONIX

The Chamoniards distributed enough Christmas presents to their opponents to allow them to lead 5-2 at the end of the second half. Despite two goals in the final third, it was too late to come back to the score, and the Pioneers left Nice three points. A very bad start after the break, a very insufficient power play and above all a lot of errors.

The Niçois opened the scoring through Esipov, before Lopachuk brought the tie back, but four minutes later it was Kuronon who gave the locals the advantage again. The second half was the worst for Chamonix with three new goals from Nice including one in numerical inferiority, against a reply by Terrier at the end of the period.

Salio brought back some hope from the start of the final third, but a numerical superiority allowed Nice to widen the gap. Four minutes from time, Gabriel Chabot found the net to bring back the Pioneers and Luca Mugnier who had replaced Tom Aubrun left his cage to create the surplus, in vain.

Chamonix lost after a failed match and too many gifts to its opponent, notably numerical superiority situations which were very costly (4 goals scored by Nice in power play).

The Pioneers are 7th, closely followed by Cergy and the next match against Anglet already promises to be extremely important for the future.

Amiens – GAP

By winning this Friday evening in Amiens, Gap ended a series of 6 defeats in a row in the championship and gained a place in the standings (10e), after Anglet’s defeat against Grenoble. Fighting for a place in the top 8 of the regular season, the Raptors took 3 important points and regained a little confidence, as their coach Eric Blais wishes. The evening started badly for the Gapençais, trailing 1-0 after the first 20 minutes after a double superiority goal from Lavigne.

Gap equalized very quickly in the next third through Correia in superiority, but was trailed again after a goal from Suire midway through the match. In verve, the Gapençais power-play scored again with Sislannikovs at the finish this time (2-2, 36e), then Vartiainen marked his return to the lineup by making the break shortly before the break, achieved with a score of 3-2 in favor of the Haut-Alpins.

At the heart of the last period, Vartiainen scored a nice double (4-2), while Boucher gave hope to the Gothiques less than 5 minutes from the siren. But it was Gap who had the last word, thanks to his captain Gutierrez scoring 14 seconds from the end.

Winners 5-3, the Raptors will have to continue on December 28 at home, when they host Marseille.

Rouen – BRIANLEADS

Trailing 2 to 0 after two minutes of play, the Briançonnais then bravely stood up to the French champion Rouen for 58 minutes to lose with a score of 6 to 4 at Île Lacroix. A frustrating defeat, but encouraging in terms of form, on which Marton Vas’s men will have to rely before two very important duels against Nice and Anglet next week.

After 12 minutes of play, the Briançonnais were in the lead 12 shots to 7 but they were led 2 to 0 on the scoreboard by the Rouennais who were as clinical as possible during the first two minutes of the match (Vigners and Sotnieks).

The Red Devils indeed tried a lot after having missed their start. Zohovs and Carnback, who went on the counterattack, thought they scored in the 14thebut Pintaric, with an incredible save, pulled the rug out from under them, before Kristensen tripled the lead for the residents of Île Lacroix in the continuity of the game… A first period, lost 3 to 0, very bitter for the Haut-Alpins who carried the danger 17 times on the Rouen cage without managing to find the fault.

Their efforts were immediately rewarded upon returning from the first break by Carnback, while the Devils played in power play. Following a head collision with one of his teammates, Broz then had to be replaced by Leveque in the Briançon goals. The Dragons then took advantage of a double numerical advantage to regain a three-goal lead through Lampérier, before Vigners and Rech, with a superb gesture, stunned the Devils when the halfway mark had just been reached (6 -1).

Briançonnais affected but not sunk. Maki found Pintaric’s top corner just before the second break on a new numerical advantage. Haut-Alpins who even came back to 6 to 3 at the start of the third act on a victorious escape from Richards who capitalized on his own blocked shot on his defensive blue line.

Dominant during the last five to six minutes of the match, the Devils gave the French champions a cold sweat when Richards, again and at the conclusion of a superb collective movement with Fauchon and Vrielynck, brought his team back to within two lengths. three minutes from time (6-4). A gap that Marton Vas’s men were unable to fill.
