Then Jakob Silfverberg had scored his first goal in the Brynästräyan since his return. But despite the lead goal, Linköping would be too difficult a nut to crack for the newcomers.
LHC new acquisition Robin Kovacs accounted for both assists and goals in his first SHL game for Linköping.
– It’s always nice to mess up the premiere, win at home and score points. Nice to be at home and play in front of friends and family, says Kovacs to SVT Sport.
With minutes left, LHC had a 3–2 lead and Brynäs replaced the goalkeeper. But they got no closer than a frame hit in the closing seconds and LHC won.
– It’s incredibly fun to be back. We don’t get the result we wanted, LHC plays solidly but we are one shot away with a bar at the end. It’s tight, says Silfverberg to SVT Sport.
How does it feel for you?
– Personally, it feels like I have more to collect. I got to score a goal early in the power play. But otherwise, I get too many liters on the outside, have to get into the heat more. It’s always fun to score, but when you lose it doesn’t mean much. But right at the moment it felt good.
