The Eagles, Davos winners on Tuesday night at Les Vernets (4-0), have regained some of their legs and their game.

Complete joy for the Genevans on the 3-0, Tuesday evening at Vernets.

Genève-Servette, which had seen its series of five victories interrupted Saturday in Lausanne, returned to the front, Tuesday evening at Les Vernets. The Eagles dominated Davos without trembling (4-0), following a game much better controlled than the two played so far in 2022.

After the setback conceded at the Vaudoise arena, Jan Cadieux expressed his desire to “clean up” his team’s game. The coach has been heard. First noticeable improvement to note: Geneva this time played in the first half. Graubünden, who for their part struggled to get off the bus following such a long road, had to luck – and to the talent of their goalkeeper Gilles Senn – to only give in once during this initial period. It was following a floating but devilishly precise shot from Tanner Richard that the Garnet found the fault (5th).

Davos did not knock over mountains

More fluid in their score and not really jostled by the evening’s opponent, the Genevans retained control over the meeting. It is logically, following twenty seconds of numerical superiority, that Sami Vatanen doubled the bet (23rd). In the 32nd, it was Marc-Antoine Pouliot who concluded a nice movement to register his first goal since his Swiss naturalization.

From the moment when Davos did not seem decidedly ready to overthrow mountains, the main stake of the last third would be the following: Geneva-Servette would he offer a first shutout in the National League to his goalkeeper Dominic Nyffeler? The answer turned out to be positive. And as Josh Jooris took advantage of a new numerical superiority to seal the score in the 48th, we can speak of a fully successful evening for the Eagles.
