While running on the frozen lake Heartbreak, in the US state of Missouri, two young people found themselves in the icy water. Fortunately, they were able to be saved under miraculous circumstances.
Two teenagers were very lucky in Missouri. While they were running on the Heartbreaking Lake, which they thought was completely frozen, the ice broke under their feet.
By the greatest chance, a team of firefighters was undergoing rescue training at the same place. An incredible chance for these two young people, who were then a hundred meters from the shore.
When the firemen spotted them, they immediately intervened and were able to save the teenagers in just a few seconds with the help of ropes. When they got back on board, they were already in the early stages of hypothermia.
The Maryland Heights fire Department later posted the video on Facebook, taking the opportunity to pass on a message: “We ask one thing of everyone: stay off the ice! These two were lucky, because we had teams in seconds, but not everyone is so lucky.“
