International Business Machines (IBM) announced better-than-expected sales, confirming its full-year results forecast, indicating that the company’s focus on software service and hybrid cloud computing is achieving positive results.
Third-quarter sales rose 4.6% to $14.8 billion, the company, which is headquartered in Armonk, New York, said in a statement on Wednesday.
Analysts’ average sales forecast was $14.7 billion. IBM also said that its annual sales will grow by between 3% and 5%, confirming previous expectations for cash flows of $10.5 billion during the year.
