IAP signs partnership agreements with 4 African hydrocarbon companies

ALGIERS – The Algerian Petroleum Institute (IAP), part of the Sonatrach group, signed Thursday in Brazzaville, partnership agreements in the field of training with four national African hydrocarbon companies, the public group indicated in a press release .

The agreements were signed on the sidelines of the 5th meeting of CEOs of National Hydrocarbon Companies (SNH) of member countries of the African Petroleum Producers Organization (APPO), held with the participation of a high-level delegation from Sonatrach , led by the group’s CEO, Rachid Hachichi.

They concern the strengthening of cooperation in the field of training between the IAP and the National Petroleum Company of Congo “SNPC”, Sonahydroc of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the National Hydrocarbon Company of Benin, Ghana national petroleum corporation “GNPC”.

These specialized agreements in the field of hydrocarbons complete a process of formalization of training actions initiated by the IAP with other oil companies that are members of the APPO.

The 5th edition of the meeting of CEOs of SNHs from APPO member countries was an opportunity to address points relating to areas of cooperation between African hydrocarbon companies, covering aspects related to the financing of oil and gas projects. gas, infrastructure and regional markets, management and development of local content, strengthening of human capital, technologies and Research and Development (R&D), environmental protection and finally collaboration options in the field the development of renewable energies.

As a reminder, Sonatrach organized the 4th edition of the APPO SNH CEOs, in March 2023 in Algiers.

Created on January 27, 1987 in Lagos (Nigeria), the APPO is a space for meetings, exchanges, cooperation and sharing of experience and expertise between its member countries.
