“I would thank him and hug my dad,” Jean Pierre Brol dedicated emotional words in his tribute

The Guatemalan shooter, Jean Pierre Brol arrived in the country this Monday, August 5, after having won Guatemala’s first medal in its history after 12 years and brought back Olympic glory to the Guatemalans.
During the press conference offered to the public and media at the Intercontinental Hotel, the shooter was honoredleaving emotional words about what his career has been like and what the medal has meant to him.
Brol commented that what was most difficult for him when leaving the Olympic Games was: “It was leaving the house, my wife, my children” All this sacrifice was not in vain because: “This is the year in which I have prepared the most and the effort bore fruit, a huge emotion and there are no words to describe it.”
He confessed his feelings during the competition: “Getting to the final was difficult because the level was high”also assured that from the beginning of the final he felt confident of obtaining a medal: “When I reached the final I was convinced that I could get on the podium and break those years in which there was no medal for Guatemala.”
He remembered his deceased father, Fernando Brol, saying: “My dad was excited when I won in Guadalajara 2011, he was proud of me” Without being able to finish, he ended up in tears confessing that if he had him in front of him: “I would thank him and hug him.”
She also spoke about the gold medal won by her fellow athlete, Adriana Ruano: “I was surprised by what she did. I saw Adriana and I knew she was going to win because of the difference she had over the others.”. He also said that his wish was to carry out a caravan with her in the country.
At 41, Jean Pierre is already thinking about going to the next games: “I’m already thinking about going for gold in Los Angeles 2028.”
