The popular actress lives in Latvia, but does not forget regarding Russia. But joyful events are not always the reason for statements in the direction of their native country.

And once more cultural figures were divided into at least two camps. The reason was the cancellation of performances with the participation of Leah Akhedzhakova in Sovremennik. Many colleagues sided with the actress, believing that it was wrong that the theater management should protect their actors, and not try to get rid of them, even if the latter show some self-will outside of work and profession. But there were those who are sure that Akhedzhakova suffered for her own statements and active citizenship, which, to put it mildly, was not in all similar to the position of the Russian authorities.

Chulpan Khamatova did not stand aside either. Having got in touch from Latvia, where she has been living since last year, the actress recorded a video for the Spektr publication. In the video, the actress openly declared the cowardice and meanness of the leadership of Sovremennik and expressed her full support for Leah Akhedzhakova, wishing her to hold on and save herself, ignoring the nonsense written by people who do not want to think or who have a certain benefit from what they water dirt actress.

“I would like to see my country made up of people like you who care. You have never cared,” says Chulpan Khamatova, turning to Akhedzhakova and talking regarding Russia.

Liya Akhedzhakova highly appreciates Chulpan Khamatova. And it’s mutual.

It is worth noting that Khamatova’s love for Akhedzhakova and admiration for her, as a person and an actress, are mutual. So, last year, having learned that Chulpan was recognized as the best actress of the year in Latvia, Liya Medzhidovna was very happy regarding this, saying that human talent and incredible talent are surprisingly intertwined in Khamatova.
