“I would have preferred to be there laughing”: Florent Pagny speaks about his cancer treatment

Guest of the “Portrait of the Week” of the program “Sept à Huit” broadcast on TF1, the journalist Audrey Crespo-Mara met the singer Florent Pagny at different times of his illness. The latter, in an interview of January 26, 2023, returned to the evolution of his cancer.

We are in November 2022 and the singer Florent Pagny explained to the journalist Audrey Crespo-Mara that he was going to go to Argentina to continue his remission, while choosing to stop his treatment in France.

In January 2023, the journalist once again met the singer, in Argentina this time. He explains how stopping his treatment in France may not have been a good idea. The artist explains that he was x-rayed following a severe coughing fit. And according to him,the pictures, they are not terrible“.

Unfortunately, as the situation seemed to be getting better and better, a lymph node fixed and “there is a risk of metastasis“specifies Florent Pagny. He confided in his choice to stop his treatment in France and admits to harboring some regrets. “(…) pmaybe if I had been in France, I might not have this lymph node that appears like that. And if I had followed the planned program, maybe… It’s a bit my fault” he confides.

However, the singer nevertheless wants to be optimistic. “We’re not gonna freak out and we’re gonna do what we gotta do“.
