“I won’t let myself be fooled a second time”: Stromae looks back on his depression

Almost a year following the release of his latest album, “Multitude”, Stromae swept the prizes on Friday evening, during the Victoires de la Musique. The artist is in great shape, confident in his music and in front of his audience. In a report for the RTBFhe claims to have made his last album for the right reasons and confides in taking care of him.

Victoires de la musique 2023: Stromae offers two prestigious awards

Today in excellent shape and holder of numerous Victoires de la Musique awards, the famous Belgian singer believes that his latest album, “Multitude” was written at the right time, despite a very dark theme hovering over certain songs:I needed to live my stuff, get married, have a kid, go through a lot of stuff […] If it’s only the money that drives me to make an album, then it’s not the right reason. It must be a reason that comes from the heart”.

Booba clashes violently with Stromae: “The other comes back inflated with Xanax on TF1 and tells us regarding his depression, go take your pills and stay in bed”

In this album are found various themes marking important moments in the life of the artist, such as his burn-out and his depression which had worried the Belgian population when Stromae disappeared from the radar a few years ago. Having given too much, he ended up burning the rope at both ends but now knows how to avoid this scenario. “I don’t think I’ll be fooled a second time. The tour is much more relaxing. We pay a lot of attention to it with my teams. We are very careful with the planning”, explains the artist.
