During an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation “BBC” in the program Hard Talk 26-year-old former pornographic actress, Mia Khalifa, spoke regarding her work in producing pornographic films.
Mia said, “I entered the sex industry at the age of 21 and starred in 12 films, garnering more than a billion views, but I see myself as a naive and weak woman.”
She emphasized that if she lived in a garbage can and died of starvation, she would not return to this work.
She continued, “I was trying to gain self-confidence, and I was sexually exploited.” Khalifa pointed out that she was sexually exploited, and confirmed that today she is trying hard to remove her “pornographic” past from the Internet.

She confirmed the existence of many stories of sexual exploitation within the pornographic film industry, and said that she contacted many girls through e-mail, who told her that they were victims of sexual trade, as some of them were forced to have sex in pornographic films, and some of them signed incomprehensible contracts for work, Which turned their lives into hell because of the exploitation of men.
About her family, she said: “They disowned me when they found out. I felt completely alienated not only by the world, but by my family and the people around me. Especially following I left work, and I was left alone though. And I realized that some people can’t condone mistakes, But time heals all wounds, and things are getting better now.”
