Ahmed Hossam Mido, the former star of Zamalek, issued an official statement in response to the Medical Syndicate’s submission of a complaint once morest him to the Public Prosecutor on charges of incitement once morest doctors.

The statement, which Masrawy obtained a copy of, came as follows:

Today, I received information that the Egyptian Medical Syndicate submitted a complaint once morest me to the Attorney General, and although I have not received an official notification regarding the report so far, I consider this communication as a medal on my chest, and I consider it part of a new battle in my life, which I am fighting with all honor, Rather, it is the most honorable battle that I will fight in my life, because it is simply a battle during which I will not only represent myself, but all Egyptians who have suffered or been affected by the neglect that has existed in the medical sector in Egypt for many years.

I am very happy with the speedy reaction of the Medical Syndicate towards the members of the Syndicate, and perhaps the fastest reaction from the Syndicate to protect doctors in history, which I consider a success for all of us, and a step forward towards reforming a sector that we cherish and realize its great importance in all of our lives. Many doctors in my family, and I also have many friends who work in the medical sector, and I know the extent of their suffering, even though they are among the best and most skilled doctors in the world.

Finally, I assure that this battle will come out victorious, God willing, because when I spoke regarding the bitter experience I went through, my only goal in revealing its details was that no Egyptian citizen would be subjected to what I was subjected to, and God knows that.

Two official sources with the Doctors Syndicate revealed that a complaint had been submitted to the Attorney General once morest Ahmed Hossam Mido, a former player from Zamalek and the Egyptian national team, on charges of incitement once morest doctors.

Dr. Ihab Al-Taher, a member of the Medical Syndicate Council, said in exclusive statements to Masrawy, today, Sunday: “Indeed, an official complaint has been submitted to the Attorney General once morest Mido, and this will be announced on the union’s official Facebook page within hours.”

Mido had attacked doctors and the medical sector in Egypt, as a result of what he said, “a number of major hospitals refused to receive the father of his wife, who was ill with cancer, following his condition deteriorated during the Eid holiday, as a result of the vacations of many doctors.
