‘I was sleeping’; Jomon escaped by lying about being a tour operator – Video – Palakkad Accident

Palakkad ∙ After the Vadakancheri bus accident, Jomon, the driver of the tourist bus, has told Manorama News that he was a tour operator and escaped from the accident site. Jomon lied to a Manorama News reporter who inquired regarding what happened at the scene of the accident, saying that he was a tour operator and was sleeping when the accident took place.

Jomon is also seen being taken away by a few people in the video. After the accident, Jomon was caught by the police while he was going to Thiruvananthapuram following escaping from the hospital. Jomon was arrested by the police from Chavara. The arrest was made during an investigation focused on the mobile phone. The Vadakancheri police chased Jomon and arrested him.

The two friends who helped Jomon escape were also caught. Meanwhile, the video of Jomon escaping from the accident site came out. Jomon escaped by lying regarding who was driving the bus. Jomon hid the fact that he was the driver from the police team who inquired regarding what had happened.

The Manorama News team also stated that Jomon left following being forced to go to the hospital, saying that he only had minor injuries. At the scene of the accident, Jomon responded to a reporter who asked him ‘what happened’: “I don’t know bro. I’m falling asleep. I don’t know’ – Jomon is walking away saying this in the video. In the video, some people are seen taking Jomon away from the accident site, saying, ‘Leave it alone, man.’

Meanwhile, the reporter clarified that Jomon was still there when the Manorama News team reached the spot at 12.30 following the accident at 11.30 pm. Jomon sat in an ambulance at the scene of the accident until one o’clock. Jomon’s first reply was that the police, including the Vadakancheri CI, asked him to go to the hospital, but he would leave following removing all the passengers inside the bus. Later, Jomon said that he did not need to go to the hospital and that he might handle the injury on his own.
