“I was scared. I refused because I didn’t want to go out of my comfort zone”

In recent months, the esteemed actor Yehuda Levy added a new title to himself: host of the “Race to the Million 2024”. A moment after the broadcast of the final episode, Levy addressed the great fear of experimenting with hosting – and shared what the chances are that we will see him participating as a contestant in the future

The “Race to the Million 2024” came to an end last night (Wednesday) in the most dramatic way possible, when the sisters Lee and Ann Abrahami reached the finish point in New Zealand first, followed by the uncle and niece Avishi Regev and Anbar Ben Atia. Lior Dabach and Sapir Absiror retired at an earlier stage of the final event, after Lior was unable to overcome an anxiety attack during an extreme task at a height of 50 meters.

The one who also marked the end of the season, and who shared the sisters’ happy moment with the Abrahami family, is the show host Yehuda Levy. In an interview for “Good Night with Guy Pines”, the actor who added a new title to himself, moderator, explained why he would not participate in the game as a contestant – and what it was like to be the moderator for the first time. “I really discovered a new side. I was so afraid to act, to lead. I kept refusing because I didn’t think I could get out of my comfort zone. Suddenly there was a moment when I said to myself: ‘Why don’t I expand my range,’ and the moment came,” he said.

“I said that if I’m an actor, I can also play a moderator in a certain way. What surprised me was that in the end I didn’t play the moderator either, I just was. It might be that a channel opened up. It wasn’t easy to break the fourth wall, for me it was something new.”

What would it look like if you ran with your wife?
“Dana is much more spartan and athletic than me. In general, there is a gender reversal here that is a waste of time.”

Regardless of Dana, would you participate?
“No, every time I got to lead some transport I said to the team: ‘I don’t know how they are going to solve these crazy tasks.’ The physicality, it was crazy, they went through a hero’s journey.”

Maybe another plan?
“Let me inaugurate this channel for a few seasons and then we will continue to talk about other programs.”
