Pakistan’s senior film star Shaan Shahid has revealed that he has been offered roles in Bollywood films and Pakistani dramas in the past, which he refused to accept.
In a recent interview, actor Shaan Shahid said that he was offered a role in Ghajini by Aamir Khan and promised to pay 8 crore Indian rupees for it.
Explaining the reason for his refusal, the actor said, “I have not stopped any artist from going to India to perform.” Whoever wants to go should go happily. Actually my father had some reservations about Kashmir, his views were very strong for Kashmir. Because our Muslim brothers are being oppressed in Kashmir. Aamir Khan himself called me from India and offered me the role of a villain in his film Ghajini, to which my reply was, can’t anyone in India play the role of a villain?
Shaan added that actually the producers wanted to cast me not because of my artistic talent but because I am Pakistani. Which I did not approve.
The actor also revealed that he was also offered roles in Saat Khoon and Delhi 6.
Shaan said that I was also offered the role of Mahira Khan’s hero Fawad Khan in Pakistan’s hit drama Humsafar, which I rejected.
He did not like working there as the small screen scripts were weak. He says that I have not yet been impressed by the story of any drama. But as soon as a good drama comes I will definitely do it.
