Without forgetting… the granddaughter of the famous restaurateur Maïté, whose particular way of overcoming eels is well known. From her real name Marie-Thérèse Ordonez, Maïté had made the heyday of cooking shows on France 3as The Kitchen of the Musketeers with Micheline Banzet-Lawton. Her granddaughter, Camille, aged 20, therefore came to testify on the France 2 program to discuss her incredible relationship with her grandmother.
“She is enjoying her retirement”
“An exceptional grandmother, there was never this Maïté side, but rather grandma Maïté” first entrusted Camille to Faustine Bollaert. Between her and Maïté at the same age, the resemblance is striking. “It was a bit complicated on M6”
Passionate regarding cooking since she was five years old, it was precisely her grandmother who pushed her to participate in Objectif Top Chef in 2018. If everything went very well with chef Etchebest, it was less the case with the production of the cooking show. “It was a little complicated at the time of the interview, she confides on France 2. I was asked to imitate my grandmother. There was his cult phrase ‘There is no writing woodcock’ and I was asked to repeat it, like her. With the same aplomb. At that moment, I understood and I said to myself: ‘I came only for that, to make the audience, only to talk regarding my grandmother in the end”. A behavior that strongly “hurt” Camille, who however ensures that her grandmother was nevertheless very proud of her participation in the cooking show of M6. “She always wanted me to do a TV show to see how it went.”
