“I want to stay at Chelsea”… Tuchel appeals to DF over ‘Barça transfer rumors’

[골닷컴] Correspondent Choi Dae-hoon = Manager Thomas Tuchel is struggling to keep Cesar Aspilicueta, a potential move to FC Barcelona.

“Chelsea have set a price for Barcelona to sign Aspilicueta and Marcos Alonso this summer,” British media ‘Metro’ reported on the 25th (local time).

He continued, “The Spanish media ‘Sport’ reported that Aspilicueta and Alonso had reached an individual agreement with Barcelona. Chelsea are said to want 13 million euros per player.”

The two players were rumored to be transferred to Barcelona even before the 2021-22 season ended, and when the season ended, the transfer rumors grew even more. At the same time, Aspilicueta also wants to return to Spain regardless of the contract period with one year remaining, so the transfer seemed to be a fact.

However, Chelsea are willing to allow Alonso to be released, but keep ‘captain’ Aspilicueta. It is the firm will of Tuchel and the new owner, Todd Boeli.

At the end of last season, coach Tuchel spoke out regarding the transfer of Aspilicueta to Barcelona. “I had a lot of conversations with Aspilicueta,” Tuchel said. “I thought he accomplished everything at Chelsea following winning the Club World Cup.”

“Aspilicueta loves Chelsea at the same time as he loves the challenge and is content to be here and is our captain. We have no responsibility to solve problems or listen to other clubs.”

“Given the fact that we have already lost key defenders like Rudiger and Christensen, even if I understand Aspilicueta’s personal point of view, allowing a transfer is not a good scenario for Chelsea.”

Coach Tuchel was serious regarding Aspilicueta’s stay. “I want him to stay,” Tuchel said. he knows that too We are still negotiating to reach an ideal conclusion.”
