NBC News reported on the 3rd (local time) that on the 29th of last month, Cody Zillotti of Connecticut, USA, found a wild bear in the passenger seat when she went to check the interior lights of her mother-in-law’s parked car.
In a video that has spread through social media, a bear is sitting in the passenger seat and looking at a person outside the vehicle.
According to NBC News, Gillotti explained, “At that time, the black bear had a face as if a teenager had just returned from a party at night and had been caught by his parents.”
“The bear seems to have searched his truck first before entering his mother-in-law’s car,” he said. In fact, my mother-in-law’s car had an empty McDonald’s bag.
“I’ve seen wild bears in the area a few times before, but they were the biggest bears I’ve ever seen,” he said.
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), who was alerted to Zillotti’s report, used a rope to open the car door and the bear escaped into a nearby forest.
Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of this bear haunting, but it is said that the inside of the two vehicles was damaged by the bear.
The long-haired car door was completely smashed and the interior seats torn to shreds.
Meanwhile, according to DEEP, there were more than 8,000 reports of sightings of wild bears in the area last year alone. So far this year, there have been over 1500.
