Many, probably like me, thought that deaf-mute neighbors were ideal. Silence from them, no complaints regarding you because of the noise.
But in reality, everything turned out to be completely different. They have their own problems, which are very difficult to solve, because people who do not encounter noise do not understand what they want from them.
My neighbors on the left are just a deaf and dumb elderly couple, with whom we have not been able to find a common language for six months now. We have completely different triggers.
The fact that the neighbors are deaf and dumb, I learned from the owner of the apartment. She presented this as a plus, and at first I agreed with her.
It’s great that the neighbors will not scream and listen to TV loudly, both deaf and elderly. But very quickly I realized how wrong I was.
Neighbors are renovating. Since the noise didn’t bother them, I first had to explain to them that even if they don’t use a puncher, but a hammer, it’s still loud.
When they were collecting furniture in the late evenings, something constantly fell and moved with a terrible rattle, which bothered me, but did not bother them.
She came to them and explained that they were noisy, and came across puzzled looks. The first couple of times bewildered, and then unfriendly.
You still need to get to them. To do this, I had to take their phone number and call until they deign to come up.
We agreed that if I call them, then I’m out the door. If anything, I write. But they read messages very infrequently, so it was easier to call.
And recently we had a new misfortune. They set the alarm, apparently they pressed something wrong, so besides the vibration, the sound also turned on.
And the sound was twisted to the maximum, there was some vile standard melody. I almost threw myself out of bed when their alarm clock started blaring.
This went on for three days, then I managed to get through to them and turn off the sound on the alarm clock. Either they didn’t figure it out themselves, or they just didn’t care, I don’t know.
In general, their behavior is now very annoying, because it seems to me that they are deliberately making noise. They cannot but understand, because they are not small children.
And they have a claim to me that I listen to music, and they have a vibration on the wall and floor from this, which annoys them. Although I do not twist the bass to the fullest, but sometimes I want to.
In general, deaf-mute neighbors have their own problems and difficulties. The only difference is that these people do not yell at you, but look at you.
