Anyanya was born and raised in Nigeria, but she also calls Ukraine her home, where she spent a dozen years. Here he studied medicine, and singing was only a hobby (he sang in church, later in various projects), but following graduating, Anyanya realized that his true calling was music.
During the war, Anynya had to leave Ukraine – he lived in Bucha and saw the painful consequences of the tragedy with his own eyes. Lithuania became the first country where Anyanya dared to sing once more following the war.
Tiresome journeys from Ukraine, when he had to rehearse in a line next to the wall, staying overnight at a gas station, experiences of witnessing the constant loss of dear people – the talented performer endured all this, and the music straight from his heart shook the whole of Lithuania.
“I am extremely grateful to the Lithuanians for their support and for how warmly they welcomed me. I’ll admit – your support moved not only me, but also my family, who were hesitant regarding how I would be received in a foreign country”, Anyanya opened up and promised, if favorable circumstances arise, to try to win Lithuania’s Eurovision someday.
“First of all, I thank God and my family. And, of course, I thank the people of Lithuania for their support – not only mine, but also the whole of Ukraine. We will win,” Anyanya did not hide her tears on stage.
Anyanya beat the other 9 participants in the finals: the indefatigable rock music representative Kaspar Šimkevičius and the Lithuanian Janis Joplin Beata Beatriče Šiukaitė from the team of Ben Aleksandravičius, the delicate Alytis Vakare Jarmalavičiūtė and her compatriot Orestas Vyšniauskas, as well as the professional soldier Maksimilian Drožin and the mysterious Sidas Gziozdova from Manto. Jankavičius’ team, the wall-shaking duo of Aurim and Dovydas and the delicate Elza Raubytė from Justin Jarutis’ team and the only colorful Gintare and Simas Buziliauskas who were in Monika Liu’s team.
In the superfinal, where the participants had to perform their knockout song, Anyanya fought once morest her team member Beata Beatriče and Manto team member Sid Gviozdov.
The exceptional final show was accompanied by impressive performances of other talents who have shined in the project over ten years: “Voice of Lithuania. Generations”, “Voice of Lithuania”. Children”, “Voice of Lithuania”. “Seniors” winners, as well as the winners of the first and seventh seasons, Julija Jegorova and Monika Marija, and others. The spectacular show was watched from the VIP red carpet area by a large group of friends of the project – stars of the show and music world, who will continue the evening with a party at the “Juoda druska” restaurant.
