Despite her participation in many television works during the past two years, the movie “Sugar Daddy” is her first cinematic work, stressing in her interview with Al Arabiya.net that cinema needs a lot of experience, and that she criticized herself in her first cinematic experience. However, she is satisfied with herself by 70%.
She is the artist, Farah Al-Zahed, who still loves the world of art, and indicated that she learned discipline from the star, Laila Elwi, and was also pleased with the audience’s comments to her in the cinema, noting that she recognized her shortcomings because she criticizes herself following every work she performs.
To bring you together with the artist, Laila Elwi.. What did you learn from her?
I learned discipline from her, and the need to get used to the difficulties of work, as she does not object to anything at all, the most important thing for her is that the format of the film be correct, for then my love for work is unnatural, I consider her a role model for me, and I wish when I grow up to be a copy of her, as she is a role model For me.
How was the first meeting between you two?
The first day I saw her I was very nervous, especially since the first scene was with her, and when I met her I told her that she was very beautiful, and we repeated the scene 11 times, because there were problems in my angle of photography, and I was saying incorrect sentences, but she encouraged me, and she says What was offered was sweet to me, and helped me get used to it.
Tell us regarding the movie and the character that you are presenting through it?
The film takes place in a comic framework, by discussing a mid-life crisis, which turns events upside down, in which I play the role of “Nermin”, a crazy Hossam, who is said to be Waseem Al-Aila, and is presented by the artist Mustafa Gharib within the events of the film.
What is the difference between “Sugar Daddy” and your previous TV works?
The movie is my first cinematic experience, and it is very different from the television drama in which I presented previous experiences. Participation in a movie is a big and important step that requires a lot of experience. I criticized myself in my first movie experience, but I am 70% satisfied with myself, because I am able to identify points. My weakness to learn from and develop my performance as well.

Were there any difficulties you encountered following entering the artistic community?
I am not social at all and it is difficult for me to get used to people quickly, as acting takes up a large part of life, and you cannot be at your own pace and live as you are, and this is what I saw her here suffering from because she started much before me.
And did you use your sister here ascetic in your work?
Of course, I take “here”’s opinion on my work following I sign the work. I ask her what she thinks, and how I present the role, for example, and I take her opinion when offering the work, and she is frank with me in her opinion, but my mother is the one who takes her opinion before I agree to the role.
What is new that you are working on in the coming period?
I am participating in a minor role in the movie “Mr. X” with Ahmed Fahmy and Hana Al Zahed, which is scheduled to be shown in the summer of 2023. The work is co-starring with Bayoumi Fouad, Rehab El Gamal. I also participate in the cinema with two films, one of which is titled “A Mission in Sahl Hasheesh” starring the artist Mustafa Khater. I am still filming my scenes in the movie, and I present the character “Nermin”, who is present in society and represents many women in society, and she wants people to learn from her.
What regarding the other movie?
The other movie is “The Yellow Duck”, which is a comic work, and I participate in it with Ghada Adel and Muhammad Abdel Rahman Tota, and there will be many surprises, and God willing, the audience will like it. I embody the role of his fiancée at work.
How did you find working with the film team?
Laughter dominates the work atmosphere inside the scenes. I am happy with the film and the cooperation with Ghada Adel, because she encourages everyone who cooperates with her, and there is comfort in acting with her. Tuta makes me laugh while he is “like honey” all the time. We eat in the scenes, because Tuta loves to eat very much, and I wish The audience admires the movie while watching it, especially since director Issam Nassar and producer Rami El-Sukary each cares regarding the actor being comfortable during filming so that he can bring out his best.
Is there an idea to present a work with your sister here ascetic?
Of course, I love working with her, and we have been offered an art project previously. When I work with my sister, I want to have experience so that we can present a work that the audience likes.
Most of the works that you presented on television were sad?
I hope to stay away from sad roles in the coming period, as the Peacock series and all the works that I performed following it were all sad, and I hope to present light roles similar to my character.
How do you choose your business?
I do not like to present works just for the sake of existence and spread, but I choose my works with interest, and I also reject bold scenes, as there are works and roles that I cannot present, because of my upbringing, and I will not be comfortable.
