“I share the medal with Guatemala,” Jean Pierre Brol after the Olympic bronze

This Tuesday, July 30, one of the most historic moments in Guatemala at the Olympic Games was experienced, Jean Pierre Brol won the bronze medal in the Olympic trap event.
During the awards ceremony, the Guatemalan athlete was seen in tears and enormous happiness for having achieved the second Olympic medal for Guatemala.
The shooter offered a few words through the social networks of the Guatemalan Olympic Committee: “Very excited, I have to think to be able to explain what I feel, It has been a long road, a very atypical cycle because of everything we have been through.” he declared.
He also mentioned the way to prepare: “We had big problems, we didn’t prepare as we would have liked, but in the end we were able to do it this year, I came out of 6-7 months of preparation for this event, There is the fruit, it is a shame that I could not give a little more, but the effort I gave was enough for this” continued the Olympic medalist.
The family was a vital part of his process to this historic achievement and he does not forget it in the moment of glory: “Now to enjoy and to think about my familyin seeing them and enjoying this with them, It’s something every athlete wants..”
He dedicated the victory to the Guatemalan people: “I share the medal with Guatemala, I thank them from the bottom of my heart and for all the tests.”
Finally closing with a brief analysis of the way of winning and the environment in which he experienced the triumph: “I don’t know why I always get dramas, after suffering the victory, thank God it comes with drama.between son with shoot off, there were six of us for two places, the level of the Olympic games is the best, it was a difficult competition with sun and heat.”
Jean Pierre Brol, from 41 years became the second Olympic medalist for Guatemalaafter that milestone achieved by Erick Barrondo in London 2012 underway.
