I renew for young people: How long will the platform be open?

From Thursday, May 18, 2023, the special platform for applications to the program is open “I save – renovate for young people” which enables a total of 20,000 young people, aged 18-39, to upgrade their energy efficiency and renovate their homes.

Applicant applications for the “Renovate” sub-section can only be made by those who have first joined the sub-section “I save”.

Target of the program is the saving of primary energy by at least 30% and the upgrading of the energy category based on PEA by at least three energy classes in relation to the existing classification.

Who joins the program?

Conditions for the inclusion of beneficiaries in the program

  • All young people born from 01/01/1984 to 31/12/2005, with a family income of up to 50,000 euros for their membership in “Exkoyonamo”, and up to 20,000 euros for their membership in ” Renovate”.
  • Beneficiaries should be the owner of the property, with any real right and occupy it, or be full owners, or usufructuary and rent it, to join “Escogano”.
  • Beneficiaries should have a real right of full ownership / usufruct of at least 50%, in order to join “Renovate”. Small ownership is excluded.
  • They do not have the right to submit to “Save – Renovate for Young People” residences with an active application in one of the energy upgrade programs: “Ecoconomisi kat’ Oikon II”, “Ecoconomi – Autonomou” and “Ecoconomi 2021”.

A dwelling, to be considered eligible, must be a single-family house or detached apartment and must:

  • It exists legally.
  • It has not been deemed demolishable.
  • It is used as a main residence.
  • To be classified in an energy class category lower than or equal to C, based on the Energy Performance Certificate (PEA).

“I save – renovate for young people”: The special platform opens

From 18/5 to 15/9

Beneficiaries: 20,000 young people (from 18 to 39 years old)

Budget: €300 million

Ability:

A) Energy upgrade

B) Home renovation.

“SAVE” for energy upgrading

Covers: window replacement – ​​thermal insulation, heating – cooling – domestic hot water systems, smart lighting systems

Subsidy rate: from 45% to 90%

Amount: up to €22,500

Household income: up to €50,000

“RENOVATE” for renovation

Covers: bathroom & kitchen renovation, entrance door replacement, electrical-plumbing & flooring replacement & repair

Subsidy rate: up to 30%

Amount: up to €10,000

Family income: up to €20,000

Basic condition: for membership in “Renovate” -> mandatory membership in “Save”

Beneficiaries: Property owners (>50%)

Residence (legally existing – not to be demolished – main residence)

Except, those who have an active application in another energy upgrade program.
