I only work in the morning. I have the afternoon reserved for life, praises actor Antonín Procházka

“I liked Miroslav Horníček and I found out what he was like when he was young. He was always curious. I think that until this curiosity leaves a person, he remains mentally healthy,” says the actor, director and author. What memories do you have of Oldřich Nové and Miroslav Horníček? Which Hollywood director did he meet? Does he have acting training? And what would he invite?

“I wake up in the morning, my leg hurts and it’s stupid. But my teeth don’t hurt. I feel like the older I get, the healthier I get. I don’t know. It’s said that right before death, you’re fine,” he laughs.

“I’ve been doing the same things all my life. I am very conservative. I only work in the morning. I only write and rehearse in the morning, the afternoon is reserved for life and I do things that I enjoy and that I don’t actually have to do,” describes Antonín Procházka. “At night I don’t write or do anything intellectual under any circumstances. Only atrocities,” he chuckles.

“The fact that I constantly work among young people also keeps me in shape. And that’s important. I often direct musicals, and only young people have to do that, because an old person wouldn’t cross the stage anymore,” reveals his recipe for a young actor and director at Radiocafé Vinohradská 12.
