I mean, Apple has stopped rolling out the iOS 15.4 update for iPhone users

Apple recently started rolling out the first beta version of iOS 15.4.1 for iPhone users, and the company stopped signing iOS 15.4. This means that Apple iPhone users who have new iOS updates can no longer downgrade to iOS 15.4.

So, if you’re already using iOS 15.4 or have upgraded to iOS 15.4.1, you can’t downgrade, even if you want to.

iOS 15.4 was released last month with several notable features that Apple showcased when it unveiled iOS 15 last year. It was one of the “biggest” mid-season updates for iPhone users and offers the option to unlock an iPhone using FaceID while wearing a mask.

And with iOS 15.4, iPhone users get more than 37 new emoji, including faces, hand gestures, and household objects, and users can now choose separate skin tones for each hand in the Handshake emoji.

Apart from this, Apple has also added new features to SharePlay, and prior to iOS 15.4, one had to start a FaceTime call before you might start a shared activity with SharePlay in a supported app, you can now start SharePlay from FaceTime and SharePlay sessions can be started directly from supported apps .

Apple regularly stops signing old tokens following releasing a new iOS version because it allows the company to keep more devices on feature-rich versions and also protects users from hackers trying to use newly discovered weak links.

Although the company does not recommend downgrading to an older version of iOS, iPhone users who jailbreak their devices often prefer this process.

Users who experience battery issues and any other bugs when they install a new update to their iOS version are trying to downgrade their operating system, and this week, Apple also started rolling out the first beta versions of iOS 15.5 and iPadOS 15.5.
