The artist Aida Riad said that there were many rumors that came out of her throughout her artistic career, including the rumor of her marriage to the artist Ahmed Badir, stressing that this did not happen at all.
And she continued, in an interview with the “Kalam El-Nass” program, shown on MBC Egypt: “All that happened is that we made a play (Jose and Almonds) for 4 years with solid success, and following two and three years in (You earn, Khesha), we were a successful couple.”
Aida denied that Badir was the one who prevented her from participating in the movie “The Sea Makes You Laugh” with artist Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, explaining, “I had already contracted to star in the film, following completing the play (Jose and Almonds), and we started rehearsals for a new play, myself and Ahmed Badir in Cairo. The film required me to be in Alexandria for 20 days, and we are supposed to open the show following 10 days. It was difficult to reconcile the two works, and I decided to apologize for the film, but I am sad for this decision now because cinema is history, in the end it was not my share.”
And regarding the fact of a statement attributed to her that she did not marry Badir because she loves a naughty man, and he is not, Aida said, “I may have said that I meant someone who saw something, I mean, but there is no one in the world who does not like a naughty man, but also, these are not the standards that make her love a man. You love it because of its features.”
Aida Riad is a performing artist who participated in starring in a large number of series, plays and films, and her last work in Ramadan 2021 was the series “Elly Malush Kabir” in the role of the artist’s mother, Yasmine Abdel Aziz.
