Abel Zicavo spoke in depth regarding his romance with Minister Camila Vallejo in an interview with the Saturday Magazine.
The musician -who became known for being a member of the band Moral Distraída- revealed some details of how he met the government spokeswoman and his relationship with her little daughter.
Abel confessed that his admiration for the minister began long before they met in person, when Camila was president of the Student Federation of the University of Chile (Fech) in 2010.
“For me she became an important and admired figure before I met her, as for everyone,” he said.
Along the same lines, the artist confessed that “I looked at her and said ‘what a woman!’”.
However, the lovers met in 2016 thanks to the minister’s older sister, Javiera, who had known Abel for a few years.
“When we started to have a wave, Cami told me: ‘Hey, I have to be super honest, they told me that you are a singer in a band, but I have no idea,'” she revealed.
The artist along with his brother Camilo Zicavo -husband of Denisse Rosenthal- were part of the band Moral Distraída. However, some time ago they left the band to focus on their project Plumas.
Abel pointed out that he invited her to one of his concerts with his old band and they fell in love “brutally”. To the point that following five months of relationship they went to live together with Adela, the daughter of the former deputy.
“It was a strong change, but it was the kindest thing that might have been because Cami is cool, because Adela is sweet and because Julio, Adela’s father, is also cool. We all get along really well,” she explained.
During the conversation, the musician also referred to how things have changed in their relationship following Camila Vallejo became the spokesperson for the government of Gabriel Boric.
“There are things that have changed her shape, but it hasn’t diminished, because Cami is one of those people who can see in a movie, then she goes to a friend’s birthday, and the next morning she wakes up, runs seven kilometers, he goes to work another eight hours, comes home and has seven seminars. I’m not one of those people and I don’t know how she does it “, were some of the musician’s statements.
