In an incident that negates all the meanings of motherhood, a newborn girl paid her life for the neglect of her young mother, who hardened her heart and tortured her daughter to death.
Not only did Basmala’s mother beat and burn her, but she neglected her daughter’s care and hygiene and left her in the same diaper for a week until the child’s lower part was deformed and she died amid attempts to hide her crime by throwing her in the trash bin.
Cruelty leading to death
The story began when the mother, called Dina, decided to leave the marital nest and go to her mother’s house in the Helwan region in Egypt, accompanied by her child to live in it, and given that Basmala loved playing like all children, she was having fun and having fun, but that was getting the mother’s wrath, which made her severely beat her. Her child, as well as being burned with fire, without affecting her instinct as a mother, and her painful cries did not intercede for her.
This is instead of leaving her in completely unclean clothes and body in the grandmother’s house, which suffers from a shabby state of excessive neglect and lack of hygiene.
Out of the excessive cruelty of the mother, she continued her neglect by leaving her two-year-old infant in the same diaper for a few days, until the lower part of the child was deformed and she fell unconscious. To the hospital, where it was found that she had died.
Torture and neglect
And due to the appearance of signs of beating, torture, and neglect on the infant’s body, the police, who arrested the 20-year-old mother, were informed. When she confronted her in the investigations, she said that her daughter was a rioter, and that she was beating her and burning her with fire in order to stop disturbing her.
The Public Prosecution ordered the accused mother to be imprisoned for 4 days pending investigations, with a request to indicate the anatomical nature of the body of the deceased child.
