“I mightn’t confirm the information on whether to board the Chinese fishing boat”
Kim Kyu-hyeon, head of the National Intelligence Service, said on the 26th, “I know that there is no such vest in Korea” in relation to the report that the life jacket worn by the late Lee Dae-jun in the case of the shooting of a civil servant in the West Sea had Chinese (simplified) written on it.
The National Intelligence Service answered questions related to this at the National Assembly Intelligence Committee’s audit held at the National Intelligence Service Building in Naegok-dong, Seoul on the same day.
Rep. Yoo said, “The head of the National Intelligence Service had written simplified characters on the life jacket, but he replied that he knew that such a life jacket did not exist in Korea.” I answered,” he said.
Rep. Yoon added, “The Director of the National Intelligence Service spoke of your thoughts, ‘I know that there are no such life jackets in Korea.'”
Regarding the possibility that Lee Dae-jun boarded a nearby Chinese fishing boat, Director Kim replied, “I do not have information on boarding a Chinese fishing boat,” and “I have not been able to confirm information regarding whether or not I boarded a Chinese fishing boat.” Each of these was explained.
