“I knew the Saudis and they were friends of mine” • Al Marsad newspaper

Translation exclusive: A set of photos taken Thursday morning showed former President Donald Trump golfing at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

Trump appeared playing alongside his son Eric, Governor of the Public Investment Fund Yasser Al-Rumayyan, and a number of professional golfers.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Trump said the tournament was a great investment for the country, and it brought in a lot of publicity.

“I think Live Golf has been a great thing for Saudi Arabia and its image, and it’s going to be an incredible investment, and it’s more valuable than a lot of other things because you can’t even buy that for billions of dollars,” Trump added.

“I have known these people for a long time in Saudi Arabia and they have been friends of mine,” Trump continued.

It is worth noting that the Live Golf Championship is the new competitor to the PGA Championship, and is funded by the Public Investment Fund.

A number of professional stars will participate in the tournament, most notably Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson.
