I hope Messi wins the World Cup

French striker Andre Pierre Gignac revealed his desire for Argentine star Lionel Messi to win the current World Cup, despite his country reaching the semi-finals following defeating England.

France reached the semi-finals of the World Cup with the goals of Choameni and Giroud to face Morocco, while the penalty shootout decided Argentina’s qualification to the same round following an exciting match once morest the Netherlands.

Gignac, the former France striker and the current Mexican club Tigres Onal, revealed in an interview with the American “Fox Sports”, which was reported by the Portuguese “Record”: Today in Argentina they wish Messi to win the World Cup. I am French, but I would like to see Messi holding the World Cup because he deserves it because of what he did. Throughout his career and today, his actions clearly reflect his leadership.
