“I have nothing to envy anyone”

The one who is nicknamed the host “the most grandfather of Quebec in Gaspé”, Jean Brisson, celebrates 92 years today: to mark the occasion, he will have been entitled to a special episode of his Saturday show, where testimonials and birthday greetings followed for nearly two hours.

Mr. Brisson received a number of calls proportional to his notoriety, which represents a challenge in itself for broadcasting. Fortunately, he might count on the help of his spouse, Claire Bérubé.

People from all walks of life will have taken the time to greet the host on his birthday.

“The Premier of Quebec, Marina Orsini, all of that was surprises. I had no idea how it was going to turn out. With each call, whether Jacques Montpetit or Denis Beaumont, I was always surprised. »

Nothing changes

Despite what one would be led to believe, being 92 does not change anything, at least not for Jean Brisson.

“I don’t mind being 92, it’s like I’m 19. I’m in great shape and I’m very satisfied and very happy with everything that happened to me. I don’t think regarding that. I slept very well last night and woke up this morning. I continue and I consider myself lucky. I enjoy life. I have nothing to envy anyone, I’m satisfied with my career, I’ve been around the world several times, I’ve been everywhere, so I’m very happy. »
