During the press conference, Biden assured reporters that he did not have a memory problem. He reacted emotionally to the accusation that he might not remember when his son diedsaying, “How dare anyone bring this up?”
The investigation also found that Biden “knowingly withheld and disclosed” secret files, but decided not to charge him.
Biden confused the presidents
Department of Justice Special Prosecutor Robert Hur stated that Joe Biden improperly kept secret documents related to military and foreign policy in Afghanistanfollowing serving as vice president.
A sharp, 345-page report, indicated that the president’s memory has “significant limitations.”

Of additional concern is the fact that, as President Biden sought to deflect reporters’ questions regarding his age and mental capacity, he inadvertently referred to Egyptian leader Abdul Fattah al-Sisi as… the president of Mexico.
Asked regarding the latest developments in the Israel-Gaza war, he said: “I think that, as you know, initially Mexican President Sisi did not want to open the gate to allow the delivery of humanitarian materials.”
Another special prosecutor, a Republican appointed to the position by Biden’s attorney general, Merrick Garland, said “Mr. Biden might not recall when he was vice president (from 2009 to 2017), or even approximately when his son Beau died,” which occurred in 2015.
During a Thursday night news conference, Biden reacted sharply to passages that questioned his ability to recall the events.
“Honestly, when I was asked that question, I thought it was none of their business at all,” he said. Added: “I don’t need anyone to remind me when he [Beau Biden] He died”.
Biden added that when he was questioned by the special counsel from Oct. 8 to 9 last year — just as the Israel-Gaza war broke out — he was very busy and in the middle of managing an international crisis.
The US president improperly kept secret files
The investigation also found that Biden shared some of the confidential material from handwritten notes with the ghostwriter of his autobiography, which the president denied from the podium.
The special counsel concluded that convicting the president of document mishandling would be difficult because “at trial, Biden would likely present himself to the jury, as he did during our interview with him, as a likable, well-meaning older man with “poor memory.”
Opinion polls indicate that the president’s age is a cause for concern for American voters ahead of the November White House elections. But Joe Biden told reporters Thursday that he is the most qualified candidate.
“I am full of good intentions,” he said. “And I’m older. I know what I’m doing. I got this country back on its feet.”
When one journalist said the American people were concerned regarding his age, Biden raised his voice in response: “That’s your assessment, that’s your assessment.”
He insisted his memory was “good” and had “not deteriorated” during his presidency. He is currently 81 years old.
