The Congolese musician Fabregas, in a statement made during his appearance on local television in Kinshasa, announced that he had no competition in Congolese music.
Fabregas therefore specifies that the other musicians, “in particular Héritier Wata and But na Filet, editor’s note”, are simply service colleagues. According to him, no one has reached his standing yet.
“I have no competitors in Congolese music. They are more like service colleagues. I rather point to foreigners, because I rather defend the Congolese flag,” he said.
The artist claims not to understand the attitudes of some of his compatriots. “When a Congolese artist is invited to an event, he does not realize that he is representing us. But you will see him say like, for example, my album dominates everyone and everything”, he lamented.
