“I have made a mistake”

The breakdown in the Bundesliga game between FC Bayern and SC Freiburg has caused a lot of unrest in the past few days. FCB coach Julian Nagelsmann also heated up the mood with his statements. The 34-year-old has now apologized to Christian Streich for his comments on Breisgau’s appeal once morest the game’s rating.

After Bayern’s 4-1 win, Nagelsmann emphasized that he personally had not raised any objections to the game and might not really understand Freiburg’s decision. In the meantime, the FCB coach has backtracked significantly.

Before the Bundesliga game once morest FC Augsburg, the Bayern coach apologized for his statements: “I’m someone who speaks his mind. But I’m also someone who admits when I’ve made a mistake. In that case I made a mistake. I didn’t have the big dimension of the law, the sports law, the eV law on the screen and I didn’t understand it either. I’m being honest. Sorry to Freiburg, sorry to Christian,” he explained in an interview with “Sky”.

According to Nagelsmann, he has already personally apologized to Streich and will call him once more in the coming days. The Freiburg appeal was dismissed by the DFB sports court on Friday.
