“If you don’t do statistics, I don’t know that I have had 98 matches with Vietnamese teams. Knowing that, I try a little more to complete 100 matches. Actually, if Quang Hai doesn’t hit the bar and With a lot of columns in the semi-finals, we were able to play 2 more matches at the AFF Cup 2020 and completed 100 matches,” coach Park Hang-seo shared happily following the event organizers’ statistics helped him for the first time. I know I had 98 matches in Vietnam.

Park Hang-seo officially ended his contract with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) on January 31. 5 years leading the Vietnamese team is a long time beyond the imagination of Coach Park himself because according to his share, he was afraid of breaking up from the first days he came to Vietnam.

“I remember the time I officially led a Vietnamese team in October 2017. At that time, I still mightn’t remember all the names of the players in the team. But fortunately, the previous coach of the Vietnamese team helped. At that time, I was very worried that if this match was not good, I would only stay in Vietnam for a week, maybe even return to Korea. That match was a draw, so I’m still with everyone to this day,” said Coach Park.

Mr. Park also said that he is very aggressive, hates losing results and is under a lot of pressure. This is something all the players know well.

“Due to the language barrier, I can’t directly convey to the players, but I always try to be as optimistic as possible. And perhaps the players know my personality, my coaching style. I’m very aggressive, I hate to lose,” said Mr. Park.

All three are students of Coach Park at the U23 level and the national team.

When asked regarding his memories with his students, Mr. Park said that although he loved them, he still had to be strict at work.

“With the players, I’m always as strict as possible. In the match, if the result is not good in the first half, I always cheer for you guys so that they don’t worry too much in the second half. However, if the whole game When I lose, when I go home, I still scold as usual. The most important thing for each player is to give his best in the whole game. That is the duty and role of each player in the team and I love them very much.” Korean family said.
