**Terry Gibson:** It’s a pleasure to be here.



**Host:** Your career was punctuated by both brilliance and controversy,particularly during your time at Manchester United. Looking back at that period, what are your most enduring memories?



**Terry Gibson:** It was a whirlwind, to be honest. The move to United was massive for me. I was young, full of confidence, and ready to prove myself.



**Host:** There were high expectations, weren’t there?



**Terry Gibson:** Absolutely. Atkinson brought me in as Hughes’ replacement, big shoes to fill. But I felt I could handle it.They loved my pace, my aggression in the box; I was scoring goals for Coventry, and I knew I could do it at United too.



**Host:** But then came the arrival of Alex Ferguson.



**Terry Gibson:** (chuckles) Ah, Ferguson. We’re like oil and water, always have been.



**Host:** Your relationship was…strained, to say the least.



**Terry Gibson:** Let’s just say we had our differences.



**Host:** You once famously told him “shove a footballer your a***.” What precipitated that outburst?



**Terry Gibson:** look, things weren’t going my way. I wasn’t getting the playing time I deserved. I was frustrated, and after a particularly heated exchange, well, those words slipped out.



**Host:** It certainly cemented your image as a rebel, didn’t it?



**Terry Gibson:** Maybe so. I was never one to hold back, on or off the pitch. With Ferguson,it was clear we were just clashing personalities. He wanted a certain type of player – disciplined, quiet.I wasn’t that guy.

**Terry Gibson:** It was a perfect fit! Those guys embraced the same spark,the same rebellious spirit that I had. We had fun, played our hearts out, and never took ourselves too seriously



**Host:** Your time at Wimbledon was arguably the most triumphant of your career.



**Terry Gibson:** I finally found a team where I could be myself completely.



**Host:** Looking back now, how do you feel about your time at Manchester united?



**Terry Gibson:** It’s a chapter full of mixed emotions. I had the chance to wear the famous red shirt, but ultimately, it was a missed opportunity.Perhaps we weren’t meant to be.
