ABBA Voyage’s hologram show intrigued its counterparts, including Cher and the Bee Gee Barry Gibb.
Björn Ulvaeus has revealed big names came to watch the Swedish pop legends’ avatar concert at the purpose-built arena for ABBA Voyage in Stratford, east London.
Björn and his colleagues, Agnetha Fältskog, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, were turned into Abba-tars (holograms) for the experiment and some of their contemporaries are now reportedly considering having their own hologram show.
Bjorn told the festive edition of Radio Times magazine: “I know Barry Gibb went to see him. I hear rumors regarding Metallica.
“I don’t think Mick Jagger has been there yet, but he has talked regarding it.
“Cher went there. Many of my contemporaries are now wondering if there is no way to do it.
The 90-minute show features pre-recorded classics mixed in with new numbers from the band like “Don’t Shut Me Down”.
ABBA gave its last concert a little over 41 years ago.
The avatar shows might continue even following the group leaves this world.

The Rolling Stones frontman didn’t wonder if the ‘Start Me Up’ rockers – who have been touring for 60 years – might have their own digital hologram gig in the future, but he’s intrigued by the ‘tech breakthrough’ .
The 79-year-old music legend said: “It would be stupid of me to give you a one-line answer because I honestly haven’t really thought regarding it.
“ABBA’s story introduces you to this kind of technological breakthrough, but I haven’t seen it yet.
“I was supposed to go see it, but there was a train strike. So I mightn’t go. I wasn’t going to take the train, but… the traffic was terrible, so I didn’t can’t really answer this question.
“Obviously technology is going to give you some of the answers to that question, and who knows what technology the future holds?
