Kylian Mbappe (24), the ‘superstar’ of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), the French professional football ‘giant’, wants to leave the team, a number of local media such as the BBC and Spain’s Marca reported on the 12th (Korean time).
Mbappe signed a contract extension with PSG ahead of the season.
The contract was extended by three years until 2025, and the club promised Mbappe a huge sum of £1 million a week (regarding 1.57 billion won) and a bonus of 100 million pounds (157.1 billion won).
However, it seems that Mbappe has changed his mind early.
The BBC quoted freelance journalist Julien Laurent well-versed in PSG affairs as saying, “I feel that Mbappe has been betrayed by PSG.”
According to local reports, Mbappe claims that the club is not fulfilling the promises made during the extension.
Mbappe was supposed to be involved in the signing of star players, but that didn’t happen.
An uncomfortable relationship with another PSG star Neymar and dissatisfaction with manager Christoph Galtier’s tactics also seem to have influenced Mbappe’s decision.
Reporter Fabricio Romano, who is known as an expert in the transfer market, also posted on social media the day before, “Mbappe is not satisfied with the PSG situation.
“I want to leave the team as soon as possible,” he wrote.
Marca predicts that Mbappe will try to move to Real Madrid in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Mbappe has scored eight goals in the regular season this season.
PSG are leading Ligue 1 thanks to Mbappe’s performance.
