The Minister of Social Affairs in the caretaker government, Hector Al-Hajjar, said, “We bid farewell to a year and receive a year, and we all hope that this year will be better than the previous one, and that it will bring us salvation from all the tragedies that we faced.”
He pointed out that “on this occasion, I extend my thanks and appreciation to all the employees and workers in the Ministry of Social Affairs for their dedication to their work despite the difficulties and obstacles they encountered without undermining their determination, and I promise them that I will stay by their side to achieve the right and secure their dues regularly.”
Hajjar pointed out, “I call on citizens to close the book of the past and welcome the year 2023 with hope and hope, and to overcome the disappointments that afflicted us in the past year.”
He stressed that “I pledge to all the Lebanese that this new year will be a glimmer of hope at the level of social humanitarian service, whether in terms of development services centers, clinics or care centers, the poorest families program and the safety program, and the greatest attention remains to activate the card of people with strong will and to secure basic services.” We say to them through their centers following they were redistributed without delay, to care institutions, you have always been a spearhead in facing crises, and you have borne the burdens of live flesh and spared no effort, despite the limited capabilities.
He explained, “Our obligations towards you will be in accordance with your great cooperation and sacrifices, and we will work to provide all your dues and invoices according to the appropriate cost, and to automate your transactions related to the Ministry of Social Affairs.”
Hajjar stressed, “We will work for the year 2023 to be a year of problem-solving, comprehensive coordination between international and local institutions, and a map of practical solutions that begins with social projects and does not end with the displaced Syrians, who will get the gift of the year, which is returning to their final homeland and welcoming the new days and years on their land and with their people.”
